01About these terms
These terms govern your use of the GhaleBio website and client portal, and the shipments we arrange on your behalf. By requesting a shipment or using the portal, you agree to these terms. 02What we are
GhaleBio is a freight broker. We arrange transport on your behalf through a network of vetted third-party carriers — we do not own or operate the vehicles, aircraft, or vessels used to move your shipment. Our role is to source, book, coordinate, and monitor carriage on your behalf, and to keep you informed throughout.
03Quotes & bookings
Quotes are based on the shipment details you provide and are valid for the period stated at the time of quoting, unless withdrawn earlier due to a change in carrier availability or rates. A booking is confirmed once you accept a quote and we issue a load confirmation with your tracking reference. Prices may be adjusted if the actual shipment differs materially from the details originally provided (weight, dimensions, cargo type, or temperature requirements).
04Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate shipment details, including an honest description of the cargo, its weight, dimensions, and any handling or temperature requirements. You confirm that your shipment does not contain prohibited or undeclared dangerous goods, and that you hold any necessary licences, permits, or documentation required for import, export, or clinical trial material movement. Providing inaccurate information may result in delays, additional charges, or refusal of carriage by the carrier.
05Liability & insurance
As a broker, our liability for loss, damage, or delay is limited to arranging carriage with a competent carrier; liability for the physical carriage itself generally sits with the carrier under the applicable international convention for that mode of transport (for example, the Montreal Convention for air, CMR for international road, or Hague-Visby Rules for sea). We strongly recommend clients arrange their own cargo insurance for high-value or irreplaceable shipments, such as clinical trial materials or biologics.
06Delays & force majeure
We will make reasonable efforts to meet quoted transit times, but these are estimates, not guarantees. Neither GhaleBio nor our carrier partners are liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including customs holds, weather, strikes, or carrier operational disruption. Where cold-chain integrity is at risk due to a delay, we will notify you as soon as we are aware.
07Payment terms
Invoices are issued on completion of a shipment, or on the payment terms separately agreed with your account. Payment is due within the period stated on the invoice. [insert standard payment terms, e.g. net 30 days, and late payment policy]
08Cancellations
